Goose Island is a fairly safe neighborhood, and though there are some less safe areas, it's pretty safe overall.

Parts of Goose Island do have a higher crime rate than the city average. Overall, you can easily find safe parts of the neighborhood, but you'll want to do a bit of research on the particular area and its crime rate first.
