I actually just toured there last week with my son. Colorado Mesa is known for their nursing program, but they are also strong with Kinesiology. They have a pretty cool lab for those disciplines. They are proud of their Business program and there were some aspects of it that I thought were good. They also focus on the arts.
The one area in which I felt they were weak was in Engineering. They only have one Engineering discipline available: mechanical engineering. It's done in conjuction with the University of Colorado at Boulder where you pay the first two years of tuition to Colorado Mesa at their fees, but the remainder of the program is expensed at CU Boulder's fees even though you finish the program at CMU in Grand Junction. Your final degree does come from CU Boulder, though you never actually attend classes in Boulder.
