Greater Fondren Gardens

Greater Fondren is located in Southwest Houston, close to Stafford and Missouri City. Nearby freeways include 59-The Southwest Freeway, 288, The Sam Houston Beltway and Loop 610. Main streets traveled in the area are West Airport and West Belfort.

In the Western portion of Greater Fondren is the Southport Business Park, which houses many warehouse and strip center companies. For the most part, apartment complexes South of 59 (which is where Greater Fondren is located) are run-down. There are some homes that you could grab at an affordable price, that are in decent condition, if you don’t mind the area, but you won’t find any high class neighborhoods here. The stores in the area are somewhat shady, and I would travel towards Sugar Land or First Colony for shopping and eating. I used to work in an office building in this area…I was afraid to stop in the corner stores, and would travel 15 minutes at lunch time so I could be near First Colony Mall to grab a bite.
