Greater Grand Crossing, Chicago crime - do the locals think there is alot of crime in the neighborhood?

Greater Grand Crossing has a bit more crime than I'd like to see, and it's right by some really rough areas like Woodlawn.

The family oriented atmosphere lends to a very safe environment with very little crime.
