"Quaint, safe, right on the water"

I grew up in Harbor Beach and have since lived in several medium and very large cities since moving on 20+ years ago. Both my family and my wife's extended families still reside in the area, and we visit a few times a year to enjoy the area and relax. Summers are very nice, with the water and quaint shops in town. Winter is mild because of proximity to the lake but still cold and overcast mostly. Fall and spring are very nice with the foliage and wildlife.

Schools are actually quite good and there is definitely a strong sense of community. The area is very safe with not many options for kids getting into trouble, despite their best efforts. Nightlife and cultural amenities are modest but there is some decent golfing and great parks nearby.

I plan to take my family to this area of MI so they can be exposed to the culture and beauty as they grow.
