Does the Harlem neighborhood in New York City have alot of crime compared to the rest of New York City?

There's really not a "safe" neighborhood in New York because of them are on top of each other. I wouldn't exactly call Harlem safe, though. It still is in the process of becoming as such though it is definitely more safe than it was even five years ago.
