Harrison St
"a tranquil block where you can find some of the oldest homes in staten island dating back to the late 1800's"
This is a great block if you want to know the way some of the earlier staten islanders lived during that time period. Many of the homes built on this block date back to the late 1800's making them some of the oldest in the city. The street it self is not easy to find especially if you are looking for it, because its only one block long and tucked behind the old bayley hospital grounds. The homes that alligne the block belonged to the brew masters that called this part home decades before. Every thing from red brick mansions, to victorians, and greek revival homes. Truley a great piece of architecture that still stands today.
