Is Hegewisch in Chicago a good place to live for singles?

Not really. Hegewisch isn't the safest neighborhood, and I've found very few places to get a decent bite to eat. Combine that with a lack of other singles and you have an area that just doesn't play well for singles. The problem is, with the crime rate and lack of quality schools, I don't really suggest it for families either, and singles who have few other options are the only ones who I might suggest live here. Not much of a recommendation, but there it is.

Most residents of Hegewisch are married couples with at least 1 child. The average age of men in this area is 36 and the average age of females is 39.

This area is more suitable to young families then single men or women.
