Can anyone recommend safe areas/neighborhoods to live in for a single professional woman?

I'll be moving to the area later this summer.

CallaoFam I'm also looking to relocate into Houston from Illinois. Late 20's with a baby under 2.
Any safe neighborhoods that are family friendly?

Lpete West Houston, out toward Katy is very good for families. South of Katy Freeway in the Fry Road area is safe and has good schools and wonderful neighborhoods. Of course, it depends on your budget, and homes sell quickly. Good luck.
