There are lots of adult sports leagues in the area, but I believe there's only one right in Hyde Park. The Hyde Park Soccer League (
www.hydeparksoccer.org) has a Men's Over 40 team (maybe you could convince them to start an under-40 team?) There's a rugby team in Kingston (
www.kingstonmaddogs.com), and the East Hudson Women’s Soccer League is based in Hopewell Junction (
www.EHWSL.org).
There are also sports leagues, held at Gold’s Gym Family Sports Complex in Poughkeepsie (845-463-4800), for men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s dodgeball, men’s lacrosse, men’s indoor soccer (open, over 30, and over 40), women’s indoor soccer (non-competitive, semi-competitive, competitive, and over 30), and women’s volleyball.
Poughkeepsie is only 10-15 minutes from Hyde Park, Kingston is 30, and Hopewell Junction is 45.
