When it comes to San Francisco neighborhoods which are similar to Inner Sunset, the obvious answer is Inner Richmond--both have a similar geographical relationship to San Francisco. I don't really think that is the best answer though, Inner Sunset is much nicer and more attractive than Inner Richmond and it is hillier.
Also, the restaurants here are a lot better and you get a lot more students here from University of San Francisco. In a lot of ways it feels to me more like a mix of Cow Hollow (because of it geography), Noe (because it is basically a family area) and West Portal. It is always hard to try to compare SF neighborhoods though--they each have their own, fairly unique identities.
