Kingwood
"KINGwood"
Kingwood is located in Northeast Houston, close to Humble and Atascocita. It is right off of 59 North, and convenient to Interstate 45 North. This is a very large, upscale area of Houston. Main roads traveled in Kingwood are Kingwood Drive, Woodland Hills Drive, and Mills Branch Drive. Traffic can be hectic traveling in and out of Kingwood at peak hours when commuters are going to and from work.
The homes in this area tend to be on the expensive side, as Kingwood is a desired area to be. Residential homes for sale, lease, and apartment homes for rent can be found on any major street in Kingwood. Personal vehicles are the mode of transportation here. You can find a variety of shopping, dining, and recreation in this area that will suit any lifestyle.

"Great place to raise a family."
Kingwood Texas is a great place to raise a family. I moved there when I was thirteen and lived there until I was nineteen. Coming from a small town, the thing that attracted my family to Kingwood is the fact that no major road runs through it. Unlike other parts of Houston where you might have to get on an interstate or highway, you can travel all around Kingwood without getting on either. To the west of Kingwood is Highway 59 and if you ever visit you may never find yourself using it because everything you need is located in Kingwood. One thing that stands out about Kingwood is the greenbelts. The greenbelts are sidewalks that run though Kingwood and the woods that surround it. You can get anywhere in Kingwood by using the greenbelts if you know your way. At any time you will find children with their parents riding bikes or walking through the beautiful surrounding on the greenbelts. Kingwood is divided into to “villages”. Each village has its own parks and pool. During the hot summer the pool is free to use to village residents and is popular location for teens. Kingwood is also known for their great schools. I attended Kingwood High School and the teachers are second to none. Kingwood High school offers a host of classes that you could not find at other schools. I remember the top ten percent of my graduating class going to schools such at the Naval Academy, Yale, Duke and other top schools. If you are ever in Kingwood for the fourth of July, you must head to town centre. The roads around town centre are closed the entire day of the fourth and local bands play. You day is then finished with fireworks once the sun goes down. Kingwood is also home to many different churches so regardless you religious affiliation you can find something for your family. Kingwood is truly a great place to raise a family.
