Is it safe to come home to at night from theatre or the movies?

I would say this neighborhood is as safe as any other city neighborhood. My wife has lived here her whole life and feels safe but uses some discretion by avoiding walking past empty park areas or through plazas alone during the middle of the night when their are not several other pedestrians nearby.
