What distinguishing characteristics are there in La Grange?

There's one big, obvious characteristic of La Grange: the train tracks running right down the center of the street. It's actually quite neat to see. My daughters were blown away by this when they first visited as little girls. It's very interesting and gives La Grange a different feel than other towns.
