Is the Miner's Museum a fun outing for kids?

Yes, it's pretty neat. The museum is actually an old home which was used from the 1890's to 1976. It has all kinds of old memorabilia and it's a great place to see local history. If you're thinking about going though, I would caution you to call first to make sure they're open. They have very short hours and are only open a couple of days a week.
