"A small town where everybody knows your name and they are racist."
My grandmother and uncle live in Lake Isabella right now. I lived there for about five years when I was younger and I am so glad I got out.
The town is really tiny. It is like a main road with a few stores and then houses all around it. There are probably three gas stations and three liquor stores in the whole town.
There is NO night life at all here. There are a lot of churches here. You can attend a bake sale or go shopping at thrift stores. Home Mart is like a rip off small Walmart and people are just mean and disgruntled here.
There are a lot of racist hillbillies in this city and I do not recommend living here. Now if only I can get my grandmother to move out of here.
The schools are below par and your child will probably not graduate anyway if you live here. There is one community college in the whole town and it is a tiny two story building. I don't suggest living or visiting this town.
They are very behind with technology, fashion and fun. They do have some good places to eat though. That's the only plus, but it is ruined when you get a racist hillbilly waitress.
