"A quieter area of Aurora"
Lakeshore is an area of Aurora that lies pretty far east. Since there aren't a lot of homes farther east of this neighborhood there really isn't a lot of traffic. Some of the homes here are very nice and for the most part, the neighborhood is made up of single family homes. Along Iliff Avenue, especially at the intersection of Buckley Road there are some businesses and a grocery store. There are also a few restaurants and a liquor store. Other than those, the neighborhood is pretty quiet.
Unfortunately for residents the schools here rank much lower than other surrounding districts. The elementary school only rates at a 3 out of 10 and the high school (Rangeview) gets a 5 on a scale of 1-10. The high school does have a nice indoor swimming pool and some great tennis courts, but academically it needs work.
The location of Lakeshore is a bit of a distance away from any major highway. This is a benefit for traffic, but for residents who may work downtown or in another town or city, this can be a hassle to get to either I-70, I-225, or the tollway.
