"Lakeside is an amusement park, not a place to live"
Lakeside was very cool in it's heyday. There was the traditional amusement park which was located right next to the lake, and it had a nice train ride that went around it. There were rides of all sorts and the roller coaster was lined with lights that you could see from quite a distance away if you were high enough up. There was also a racetrack on the southeastern edge where they would have races on weekend nights. While the amusement park is still open, it is a far cry from what it used to be. It's run down and many of the rides are broken or not running. The staff doesn't seem to care about the place and it seems more like a ghost town when you're there. I wouldn't recommend it, there are much better places in Denver.
