Why is Limon pronounced "Lyman"?

I don't get it... I want to call it "Lee-moan" because that would make sense!

Because the town was named after John Lymon, a railroad construction supervisor that lived there. I have no idea why they changed the spelling though but that's how he pronounced it.

Ryan Well, that's just crazy talk hahahaha My friends and I always joke that "All roads lead to Limon" because it doesn't seem to matter where you are in this state, you can always find a highway or a mileage sine with Limon on it :) Thanks for knowing that. It's been driving me crazy since I moved to Colorado!
