And now a higher booze tax in the city

Now this tax is not going to affect hhusted who is a teetotaler but all of you who enjoy a drink or two may soon have to cough up more to enjoy your tipple for after sugary drinks it is now the time for alcohol to be subjected to a higher tax in the city.

Wonder how much of a difference this is going to make?

God, between this, fat tax on soda and the fact that cigarettes are a million dollars . . . how are people without money supposed to escape from not having money?!

@JenMac Crime and senseless violence, of course!

<For the one person out there who didn't get the irony, and there always is that one person out there, I just made a joke.>

NYC is getting desperate regarding money. They will tax anything that will give them more revenue. Uptowngirl, they will probably tax tea next. Whatever they can tax they will. Next thing they will tax us for breathing.

By the way, DBlack, I got your joke. :)

Wait...there's a tax on soda? I can do without all of the things they are insanely taxing, except alcohol. I'm sorry, but this is just wrong.

I think they should just install a little collection box outside my apartment. since I feel like I automatically lose $20 just for walking outside the house, they may as well make that a direct loss, no need to go thorough complicated tax rituals.

Perhaps a tax for breathing? I think we should get a tax for breathing.

If they tax us for tea or for breathing, I will protest, big time. That will be insane.

I think I actually do automatically lose $20 every time I leave my apartment! I think we should be taxed for nothing, we do the city a favor just by living here and paying ridiculous prices for everything.

DBlack: you are absolutely right. I am immediately taking up crime and violence as a new stress relief tactic. It's the only way now.
