Moving to New York City - useful links

It's about time we created a forum that discusses useful resources to help those moving to New York City. Include any links that would help somebody looking to relocate or for current locals to better explore this great city.

I'll kick it off with a few:

- NYC Government site http://www.nyc.gov/
- Hopstop NYC - guide to subways and getting around http://www.hopstop.com/?city=newyork
- Craigslist New York - find apartments http://newyork.craigslist.org/

Keep them coming!

If you move to the city and have a lot of stuff to carry, you can always store the stuff in a public facility like Public Storage or Manhattan Mini-Storage. That is unless you have plenty of room in your apartment. Most apartments in the city don't have that luxury.

BushwickBK.com posts a weekly apartment roundup that is very helpful because it offers an outsider perspective that you don't get from ads on Craig's. The only catch is that the apartments listed are obviously all in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bushwick.
