I really don't understand plastic surgery. I think actresses who have aged naturally (c.f. Lena Olin, Jacqueline Bisset, Juliette Binoche, Fanny Ardante, even Michelle Pfeiffer) - look so much better than either other forty-year-olds or even the jejune twenty-year-olds. There's something about a sophisticated woman "of a certain age" that is unbeatable.

There's something desperate about a woman who has a lot of plastic surgery. Seems like women who don't allow themselves to age gracefully - ie, naturally - invest a little to much of their self-worth in their appearances. I have nightmares about what Janet Dickinson looks like.

That blog entry is funny, but sort of depressing.
