The Kardashians take NYC

E channel's famous (albeit good looking family) has now arrived in NYC where Kim and Kourtney will be setting up a new outpost of their store DASH and film a new series as well. Bet we can look forward (!) to many shenanigans.

If anyone at all is interested Kim according to HotelChatter.com is holed up at the Smyth Hotel in Tribeca.
So if you want a Kardashian sighting make your way to the Smyth Hotel.

Well! The Kardashian sisters are the daughters of Robert Kardashian, one of OJ Simpson's lawyers, who died in 2003. Kim Kardashian became uber famous when a sex tape she made with wannabe singer-songwriter (and sister of R&B singer/UPN star Brandy) Ray-J (who also had his own reality dating series on MTV) went viral. Kim then became known as, like, the sexiest girl in the world. Playboy spreads ensued, and eventually the family landed a(n awesome) reality show. Okay, it's kind of a train wreck but that's why we love reality television. I think. Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, is married to Bruce Jenner, accomplished Olympic decathlete and father of Brody Jenner, a character in "reality" series The Hills who sometimes appears in Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Cont.: So, you see, they are famous through their connections to fame and the success of their relatives. Which is common but oh-so-in-your-face when it comes to the Kardashians, which is kind of a draw for me in a I-can't-stop-watching-this-train-wreck sort of way. They are also lucky in that they are very lovely to look at, which helps when you are pitching a reality series.
