Will the New York Times survive Murdoch's onslaught?
Most New Yorkers swear by the New York Times which is often regarded as the gold standard in journalism. The Times on Sunday with its review of the Arts is appreciated not only by New York City residents but also enjoys a following outside the city. Now the NYT which has been struggling in recent years has become a target for Rupert Murdoch who owns the Wall Street Journal and is now pumping in gazillions of dollars into the Journal in an effort to destroy the NYT.. Will he succeed or is loyalty to the Times greater than this? I for one love the reporting in the NYT and really cant seem into get in to the WSJ...you?
