Is Manhattan Valley in New York City walkable? Can I walk to everything or do I need a car?

Everything is walkable in Manhattan Valley. It's not as walkable as other neighborhoods in Manhattan. But, you'll be more than fine without a car. There are two train lines that run through it too so anything you can't walk to, you can still get to within 15-20 minutes by train, at most.
