Minutes from downtown Saint Paul. School district 622 serves the northern side of Maplewood and South side Maplewood School district 623. This city boasts the home of 3M Corporation, St. John’s Hospital and Maplewood Mall.

Many activities are available thru-out Maplewood, the Maplewood Nature Center, Battle Creek Aquatic Center, Saints North Roller skating, Gateway Trail, AMF Maplewood Lanes, Lifetime fitness and Plaza Theater. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. For entertainment and nightlife, the Myth Nightclub or Dog House grill.

"Maplewood Homes & Real Estate"

About ten minutes from downtown Minnesota is the city of Maplewood. The city is where the headquarters of 3M Corporation is located. It is also where you can find St. John’s Hospital and Maplewood Mall. If you are looking for an ideal place to live, you may find Maplewood very enticing.
Some of the popular landmarks that you can find in and around Maplewood include the Como Park Zoo which offers the old-fashioned family way of fun, Real Haunted Tours at the Mounds Theater, the Maplewood Nature Center, Battle Creek Aquatic Center, Como Gold Course, Plaza Maplewood Theater, the Hillcrest Gold Club of St. Paul, and the Goodrich Golf Dome.
The Maplewood Nature Center offers trails, events, and snow activities during the winter. You can even rent snowshoes. Your kids and you as well can enjoy the interpretative exhibits and the kids will surely enjoy playing on the boulders, stepping stones, and bridges in the natural outdoor play zone. There is a Demonstration Garden which showcases a wildflower prairie butterfly garden and a pond with a waterfall. You can even have a grand picnic underneath the state’s biggest pin oak and take a tour of the entire park. You can even buy an earth machine composting bin which is sold inside the nature center.
When it comes to education, the ISD 623 serves Maplewood. There are ten elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 3 high schools.
On great offbeat attraction near Maplewood is the Wabasha Street Caves. These are naturally-formed caves with a plateau just opposite downtown St. Paul. The spot has been used for so many activities. You can try visiting the very interesting Museum of Quackery and Medical Frauds in St. Paul. Although the museum has been technically closed in 2002, the collection can still be seen at the Science Museum of Minnesota. If you cannot get enough of art, try the Earth Art Galleries at Afton, just a few minutes away from Maplewood. At Riverside Avenue is the Augsburg Ice Arena where you can watch ice skating shows.
For entertainment and nightlife, the First Avenue is just a stone’s throw away. For a quick skating experience, go to the Saints North Maplewood Roller at Gervais Ct. The kids can also have a grand day riding wonderful amusement rides at the Island Carousel in White Bear Avenue. You can go bowling with friends and colleagues at the AMF Maplewood Lanes. For video game fanatics, there is Aladdin’s Castle right at White Bear Avenue and the Maplewood Arcade.
