McKinley Park is actually one of my favorite South Side neighborhoods. It's very safe and welcoming, the park itself is nice and quite an attraction, and I feel like you could raise a family here fairly well. The only real downside is that McKinley Park is sorta slow/boring. I've had a hard time finding much to do here, so if you're single and looking to have drinks with friends a lot, you will likely do better elsewhere.

McKinley Park borders Brighton Park and both areas are predominately Hispanic. McKinley has a large park that has ballfields, a lagoon, swimming pool and some of the largest trees you will see in the city.

Archer Avenue is the main thoroughfare that dissects these two neighbors. They are both considered working-class communities.

There are great places to eat too - most notable are Tio Luis Tacos, La Palapa, El Rey Del Taco & Burritos, Lindy's Chili, and Huck Finn.
