Meyerland sits right along the 610 Loop, and is an older established neighborhood. It is close to 59-The Southwest Freeway, and offers easy access to Downtown and The Houston Medical Center. Main streets traveled in this area are Chimney Rock, North Braeswood, and Beechnut. The homes in this area are older, but typically include large plush front and back yards, and are set back from the streets. Apartments can be found abundantly and include The Villages at Meyerland which offer all bills paid with rental. The school district here for grade school students is Houston ISD.
The Meyerland area is fabulous for shopping and dining with the newly renovated shopping palza. There are a variety of restaurants nearby to choose from such as Outback Steakhouse and Café Express. Shopping can be found at Meyerland Plaza and includes shops such as Office Max, Target, and Stein Mart.
