Whats it like living in the Midtown neighborhood of New York City?

Midtown is really crowded pretty much all the time. It's dirty and loud and there are legitimately people everywhere. The architecture is ugly . . . I just don't have many great things to say about Midtown in case I wasn't making that clear. It's not an ideal place to live. All of the bars and restaurants are catered to tourists and there is absolutely no neighborhood feel to it. If I had a choice between living in Midtown or not living in Manhattan at all . . . Brooklyn here I come.
