"An older community in the heart of Aurora"
Mission Viejo has been an integral part of Aurora for many years. It's located just east of the Cherry Creek Reservoir and has many single family homes. It's bordered by four busy streets: Chambers Road, Quincy Avenue, Buckley Road, and Hampden Avenue. Although these are large arteries through Aurora, within the neighborhood it is relatively peaceful and quiet. On all of the major streets there are numerous businesses and restaurants to serve the many people living in this area.
Mission Viejo is located close to I-225 for easy access to both I-25 and I-70. It is also located just east of Parker Road which turns into Leetsdale Avenue and can take you down into Denver.
There are several parks in the neighborhood with nice older trees and the Cherry Creek Reservoir is just a few minutes away where visitors can go biking, swimming, walking, boating, fishing, and participate in other outdoor activities. Located just north of Mission Viejo is Olympic Park which has numerous baseball fields as well.
While there isn't a lot of shopping in the area, the Aurora Mall is just minutes north where most anything can be found, along with many dining options.
I would recommend this area for families as it is a quiet neighborhood close to many things. The schools here are very good and it is a pretty safe area.
