"Beautiful"
Monty Heights is situated in the hill / mountains between Los Angeles and Pasadena. It is insanely beautiful. And, it doesn't look like Los Angeles at all. It's not a youngsters kind of place yet, but there are a lot of predictions that it will become the next Silverlake in the next 5 years. I'm not sure that it'll gain quite that kind of momentum, though, because it is quite far from the city hustle bustle. And, I don't know if it's grungy enough to be a hipster enclave. The views from Monty Heights are incredible. And, there is so much nature in this area that some parts of it look like Northern California in the 50's.
There is a ton of history here -- the Heritage Square is comprised of a slew of restored Victorian homes. And, there is a ton of nature --there are multiple preservation societies in the hood to ensure that all the green and critter life stays as it should.
Montecito Heights isn't a place where the parties happen. To me, it's more of a getaway within the city. I would totally live here if I had kids. It's like Pleasantville. I'm posting a link of photos of monty heights because seeing in believing.
