"Barely a City"
Moorpark is barely a city at all. It is all the way passed Simi Valley on the 118. It is barely a hundred blocks. Then the empty hills take over. I must admit that I have never been here more than once. But the two people that I have known from here have been super cool. Not at all square like you might expected from this sort of smaller community. So I don’t know what they are doing there but their kids are growing up alright. Maybe it is the local college, Moorpark College—although I understand that it is little better than a big high school.
Pros
- small town feel
- nice people
- good college
Cons
- remote
- boring
- no good restaurants
Recommended for
- Families with kids
- Country Lovers

understanding of Moorpark College is questionable at best - Many degree programs are offered at Moorpark College; substantive classes with qualified, experienced professors, many of whom hold a P.H.D. as well as their M.A.
