Places to Eat
1. Cafe at Whole Foods, Green Hills. Scoff if you like, but if it's good enough for Nicole K. and Keith U. (and it is), then it's goo enough for me and you.
2. Sportsman Bar and Grill, West End, Belle Meade. Locals still fill this place after I don't know how many years. It has a homey/hunting feel inside yet offers down home food mixed with a strange upmarket mix of extras. Great burgers. Great everything.
3. Sperry's. West End, Belle Meade. Old, a bit stuffy, but still packing them in. Great steaks, good atmosphere and you never know who you will see, from Robert Plant to one of the Gores.
4. Dalts, White Bridge Road, Nashville has been around for at least 23 years as I used to come here to eat when I was in college. I ate there today and the chicken pot pie was as good as way back then. The queso is awesome as are the taqueros. This place is so reliable it's unreal, and the menu is so diverse that there is literally something for everyone. Homemade pizzas, great burgers or fresh baked salmon. You name it, they've got it. The inside is like an art deco diner gone mod. Kids and adults
5. Bricktops, West End, Nashville. It looks a bit more casual than it is, but the food never misses. We like to go on Saturdays or Sundays and sit at the huge, rectangular bar, watch football and have Kobe Sliders. It's all a bit pricey, but you somehow don't mind. And especially if the Titans pull out a win.
