Improved Care for Carriage Horses
I think we covered this in another topic, but can't find the topic. So I will mention it here.
The city is finally going to do something about the carriage horses in NYC. Legislators passed regulations to keep the horse-carriage industry alive.
This regulation will also call for better care for the horses and a higher fare for rides. Under the new rules, horses will have larger stalls, blankets for extreme weather and five weeks off per year to rest. The drivers will raise rates from $34 for the first-half hour to $50 for the first 20 minutes.
What do you think. Good idea?
