Neighborhood Favorites
Hi, everyone. Just wanted to compile a list of favorites around my own neighborhood in hopes that you guys would be willing to put in your own two cents about this - Park Slope - or your own neighborhood!
1. Fish & Sip: Always good service, good food and a good price (see: an affordable one). I am all about the fish sandwich with a glass of their lemonana.

2. Bierkraft: Holy selection of craft and imported beers! Not to mention that sandwich menu...one of my favorite summertime spots, because what's better than a cold beer on a hot day?

3. Shoe Mine: I love this store and was surprised to see that they had classic leather Keds along with all the latest from Cole Haan and Cynthia Vincent.

4. Russo Mozzarella and Pasta: insanely good Italian specialty food shop with remarkably fresh pasta. As in, real fresh pasta!

5. Amy Supply of Ny Inc: this isn't technically in Park Slope, is but worth a little bit of walking if you are someone who goes through a lot of nail products. This place sells salon products to salons as well as to anyone who walks in. Thus, you are getting things at a decent price: $1 for clippers, $1 for quality nail files, $5 a bottle for OPI nail lacquer (usually $8-9).
6. Terrace Bagels: also not technically in the Slope - it's actually in Windsor Terrace, hence the name - locals swear this place has the best bagels in the city. And I am with them.

7. Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co: a classic one-of-a-kind store - really, where else are you going to go to pick up some secret identity gear or that cape you need? My guess is that the movie version of Kick-Ass is going to bring this place even more business.

8. Cog and Pearl: admittedly I'm not the biggest fan of their jewelry selection, but this place is cool when it comes to random household knick knacks - like that crocheted squid you've been searching for!

9. Monkey Whistles & Motor Bikes: my favorite vintage store in the 'hood - nice selection and priced surprisingly well for a BK/NYC vintage shop!
