Statue of Liberty closed

Did you guys know the Statue of Liberty is closed?

Much as it would be fascinating to see the inside of this very very old piece of engineering, my fear of heights is such that I think I couldn't make it up there without puking - reportedly it sways in the wind!

No way! Didn't it just close a few years ago (after 9/11 - a ridiculous piece of scaremongering!) - what's the deal now?

It's alright to close statue of Liberty for security reason. At least you can still see it away eventhough you are not going there inside.
