World Trade Center
Ok.. I have been avoiding posting this because of the sensitivity.. but I finally decided to just go for it.
I hope you all know I don't mean ANY disrespect in any way.. I am merely curious as I am severely fascinated and was, as most, severely touched by September 11th...
I have read almost every possible 'where were you' story out there.. and for some reason, I can't stop wanting to read more.. it is the most devastating event of my time, I think, and as such, being a 'news junkie', I can't stop looking for more, unique, interesting stories. And while your story may not seem interesting, trust me.. there are people out there that think it is.
So.. a very simple question, and I don't expect everyone to answer as it IS a touchy subject.....
Where were you on September 11th, 2001... how did your day go?
I will tell you that I was driving to work after having seen the two towers on fire, and hearing about the pentagon. I hadn't yet actually seen the actual footage other than the live picture. (So, I did not see the second hit live like most everyone else did)... The morning comedy show on the radio was no longer funny, and were doing an AMAZING job of describing the events... and as I pulled into work, I came to a complete stop in the middle of an aisle as the announcer said that the 1st tower had fallen.
I worked for a school district, and I immediately went inside, we found every television we had and connected them up, had an emergency meeting where the superintendent told us all that we could stay and work, we could go into a conference room and watch the news, we could go home.. all up to us...
I stayed and worked... and watched in the conference room as often as I could.
And ever since that day, I have collected almost every video, documentary, movie, everything about that day.. again, not to be insensitive, but just because I consume information about it so much....
And finally.. if you knew someone.. I'm sorry..
