Hi, I'm from out of state and doing some research for a novel, set in and around Nob Hill.

What private schools are there in the area, if any, or what would be a "good" high school? Also, what is the nearest subway station to Nob Hill, please? Thank you, Tasha :o)

I don't know anything about schools, but as far as subways, there are none in Nob Hill. The closest BART stops are along market, so about 1 mile +/- depending on where in Nob Hill you are to any of Powell, Montgomery (or Embarcadero or Civic Center). There are some bus lines (the 1-California is the major one, I think) and, famously, cable cars, that go through Nob Hill.

There is a private school associated with Grace Cathedral on Nob Hill, there is also a private Catholic School associated with St. Mary's on California St.
These are not the most prominent private schools in SF, but they are near Nob Hill.
