"A neighborhood far enough out to lack traffic"
Norfolk Glen is an northeastern lying neighborhood of Aurora which borders Colfax in what has always seemed to me a run down part of town. You can't really see any of the housing here from Colfax, so it does change a bit when you're within the neighborhood which is made up of mainly single family homes and condos. The homes here go for around the mid $100s, and the condos go for anywhere from the $50s to the low $100s. The prices are all across the board right now as there are many foreclosures in the area.
This neighborhood is far enough northeast to not have any issues with traffic. There is a pretty easy shot down Colfax to get onto I-225 and heading north there is easy access to I-70. While there isn't much in this neighborhood in the way of restaurants, a 10 minute drive from here can have you at just about any kind of restaurant you'd like. Grocery shopping is also nearby, but if you're looking for a mall, the closest is Aurora Mall which is about 10-15 minutes away depending on traffic.
In addition to the Norfolk Glen Park, if you travel east on Colfax just a couple of miles you come to the Aurora Sports Park which is a large outdoor sports park that is geared towards soccer and baseball/softball. They have numerous fields and there are concession stands and playgrounds for the kids. You can often spot wildlife here as well. There are many kinds of birds that come to the large pond located near the entrance.
