Is North East a particularly safe town?

Definitely. The most recent crime rates here are really quite low and I have never in my life felt unsafe in any way while in this town. It's friendly, somewhat isolated, and charming -- definitely not the kind of place where I'd have my guard up for any reason.

Across the board, crime rates are low, and in all cases, well below New York State and national averages. It's a very safe place to live, and probably one of the safest towns in Dutchess County.
