Of nearby bodies of water in North East, which is best for fishing?

I'd say that a good place to go fishing in North East is in Taconic State Park at Rudd Pond. I know that fishing is allowed there if you have a fishing license.

There are also a couple ponds in the town where one can drop a line, but be careful that you're not on private property.
