"Two blocks of new and luxurious housing developments"

Located on the western side of Brisbane, Northeast Ridge is a secluded, bayside community that spans just a few neighborhood blocks. Its most dominating streets are Guadalupe Canyon Parkway and Bayshore Boulevard, the latter of which is the gateway to the community of Bayshore and Cow Hallow. Yet, its most prominent feature is its brushy, deserted hillside that encompasses about 90% of the neighborhood’s limits.

Yet with all this nothingness, there is one bright spot--its newly built residential quarters. The small community along Silverspot Drive and Golden Aster Court offers large, luxurious homes stretching along two neighborhood blocks. More specifically, the residences are two stories in size, have glamorous house fronts with modern architecture and boast sizable square footage. They also sit on beautifully manicured lawns, luxury cars in the driveway and newly paved streets. If you have a back porch, you’ll be afforded with views of the adjacent Bayshore countryside and its rolling hills.

For commuters, the US Route 101 edges the eastern border while the neighborhood is within close proximity to the San Francisco International Airport. If you like the outdoors, the San Bruno Mountain State Park is located directly east of the district’s limits. The enormous parkland offers miles of woodsy hiking trails. Also, the Candlestick Park (home of the San Francisco 49ers) is just a short drive north of the neighborhood.

"Brisbane's Future?"

Here is a snapshot of Brisbane’s future as SF’s growing hunger for pleasant suburban spots continues to grow. This is where you will find the newer homes in Brisbane—homes that have been built within the last generation, and whose immaculately kept front lawns and pleasant hill top views north to SF and out onto the bay are sure to continue to attract more residents seeking nearby suburban living within commuting distance of the city.

Homes here run roughly between $400K and $700K—relatively reasonable prices for newer homes in the Bay Area where astronomical home prices are the rule rather than the exception. 2/3 of the homes here are on the market because of foreclosure. (Not surprising given that these are largely newer constructions which had been financed in the last decade.)

Most of the residences up here are actually townhouses and condos, though they are much larger than the kind of townhomes you might normally be used to. Many of the complexes where these are located also provide pleasant play areas for children making this an excellent place to raise kids. (The Brisbane elementary school and middle school are also quite strong.) Up by Blue Mission Blvd. there are also tennis courts which I believe are associated with the condos in that vicinity.
Overall, this is a nice little spot for those looking for the security and convenience of Townhome living.
