Northside

Northside is known for it’s cheap living which is great for college students like myself. Northside is also known for other reasons like crime. Thankfully for the large student population it kind of balances out some of the more shady characters. Locking your car doors at night and walking with someone else is a must, especially if your a girl. Cops frequent this area quite a bit and it is all too common to see ride sirens going off in the middle of the night. There are plenty of older buildings that have been converted into small studio apartments. There are lot’s of market’s and deli’s that make for easy shopping and a nice quick and go for a quick lunch. As far as bars and nightclubs go, there aren’t any worth mentioning in the Northside area. I recommend heading downtown or checking out the Woods Street area.
