"Safe Affordable Community Next to Pasadena City College"
The community surrounding Pasadena City College is relatively safe and affordable. Due to the large student population of 30,000 + students commuting into Pasadena City College daily, the traffic can be busy and the parking can become a challenge. Otherwise..there are affordable rentals and the homes are mostly well-maintained bungalows and some larger Spanish Revival homes. Shopping and restaurants are plentiful on Colorado Boulevard. There's also a light rail station on Allen that makes it very easy to get to downtown LA (and from there to the rest of the rail system, both light rail, subway, commuter, and Amtrak, plus the Flyaway bus to LAX).
A great choice for affordability and convenience.

"Great place to live but bad traffic!"
Pasadena itself is a really great city in the greater Los Angeles area. The neighborhoods in the city itself are untouched in terms of living. I’ve spent the first few years of my adult life in the Pasadena City College area. This neighborhood has introduced me to alot of peers my own age and has also benefited me the education that I have today. The area is teaming with young adults, hot-spot bars, coed houses and a vibrant night life. This area is so hopping that in my opinion it could rival some of the hotter spots in the L.A. area because the wait is not as long and the crowd is not as big. The people in this neighborhood are also friendly. There is no false pretenses and hidden motives that a lot of the other surrounding area’s seem to have. This area is genuine and it is a great place to visit and or live! Traffic is probably one of the biggest drawbacks. During the week, traffic backups are common and public parking can be a nightmare.
