Whats it like living in the Portage Park neighborhood of Chicago?

Portage Park is a nice place to live, though it's a bit on the boring side. It is very safe, clean and welcoming, but if you're a young single guy or girl you may not find the nightlife you're looking for. I find it a little slow, but if you want a quiet nice place to raise a family it isn't bad.
