I would say no; you really don't hear too much about that sort of thing going on here. The statistics I saw indicated very low crime rates across the board, but I also looked at crimes committed in and around Vassar College, which is a major part of this hamlet. Over a recent five-year period, there were a lot of zeros in the violent crime columns. About the only thing that wasn't a zero had to do with forcible sexual assault, and there were only a couple at that.
Arlington isn't totally impervious to crime, and neither is the city it sits next to, but it's not common to hear of anything serious going on here and it's shocking to hear of any violent crime.
