Is the city of Poughkeepsie a tight knit community?

That really depends on where you go. For the most part, I'd say no, but there are definitely individual neighborhoods that I think are very close-knit, and I know that from first-hand experience. For example, some of those neighborhoods are on the fringes of the city off of Hooker Avenue. Lots of neighborly spirit out there, but not in some other places in town.
