Union Ave. is very up-and-coming, with new shops, restaurants, and other locally owned businesses popping up every few months. Most of the housing along Union are studio apartments, lofts, or condos, so they're definitely a little more expensive than other areas in Pueblo; but if you can afford them, Union Ave. is a fun, lively place to live.
The Northgate and Westgate communities off of Pueblo Blvd. are also stylish little suburbs, although they are further away from downtown. However, this is a nice, safe area definitely worth looking into.
