Is there local parking off Queens Blvd?

Local parking is easier the further you get from Queens Boulevard due to the vibrant foodie scene and local shops. THere are several private garages north and south of the boulevard. Some are quite reasonable. Parking is easiest in the late afternoon after the teachers leave and before all the residents get home. If you look around you can usually find street parking without too much trouble.
