Are there any local furniture shops in Rhinebeck?

There are several. One is called Hammertown, located on Montgomery Street. Another is Country Comfort Furniture on Route 9 across the street from the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. Then there's a private furniture-maker, Michael Gregorio, on Route 308. Finally, I believe Home Remedies on East Market Street is also a furniture store, but don't quote me on that. Even if it's not, you've still got several different options up here, which is pretty good for a small town such as this.
